Consists of letters between Rufus A.W. Ingram, a Confederate soldier from Alabama, and his wife, Sarah Elizabeth Ingram. Two letters between Sarah and her brother, D.A. Murphree, are also included. Rufus Ingram writes from camp near Murfreesboro, Nashville, and Cheatham County, Tennessee. Other items include Rufus Ingram's medical discharge from the army and an 1830 land patent for George Nash, for lands in Alabama, signed by Andrew Jackson.
